Langue(s) & Parole was born in 2015 as part of a collaboration agreement between the Centre International de Phonétique Appliquée (CIPA), whose headquarters are in Mons (Belgium), and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Both institutions, having been working together for more than forty years in research, teacher training and knowledge transfer, determined to follow the tradition started by the Revue de Phonétique Appliquée (RPA), and continued by the Revue PArole (two leading-edge periodicals in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics) by publishing original research on those fields. Since its first publication, Langue(s) & Parole has been publishing one thematic issue per year (except in 2017): La laïcité (2015), Quelle grammaire pour la langue parlée (2016), L’enseignement plurilingue (2017-18), La dimension littéraire et culturelle dans l’enseignement-apprentissage des langues (2019).
